Well, finally I worked out how to set up an on-line journal. It took a while, but I think it was worth it!
I am starting to think about many new ideas that involve the internet to use while teaching in primary schools. So far, we have looked at many different options to use the internet to enhance learning. In particular, I have been looking at various webquests. I think that webquests are a great way to involve children in learning in a way that makes learning fun!
Now I am starting to think more and more about the kinds of activities that I can do with my class on prac. For my last prac, it was hard to do some work on the computers because there was an incidence of online bullying within the school. That meant that students were unable to use the computers for a week. I still don't know what the outcome of this will be. I hope that everything will settle down and that the bullying will stop because it would be really disappointing to have the students miss out on some of the great activities that can be done online. Maybe I will still be able to teach a few different things anyway. Maybe they can make an exception.
Apart from that, all is well. If anybody out there knows of a good webquest which is available online that would be suited to primary-aged children, please let me know. I would be interested in checking it out.
Bye!
